Today we are announcing that August Smart Lock works with Wink, the smart home platform that brings your favorite products together – so you can easily monitor, control and automate them from anywhere. Now, August Smart Lock users can monitor the status of their lock, remotely lock or unlock their device and receive activity alerts through the Wink app. Connect an August Smart Lock to the Wink app to create a Wink Shortcut or Robot and connect multiple smart home products together to further automate the home:
  • Shortcut
Wink shortcuts prompt actions in multiple products to take place at the same time. For example, create a “Goodnight” Shortcut to lock the front door while turning off the lights and adjusting the temperature with just one tap in the Wink app.
  • Robot
A Robot allows an action in one product to trigger a series of actions in several products automatically. Create an “I’m Home” Robot triggers the hallway lights to illuminate and your smart blinds to lift when your August Smart Lock is unlocked. Remotely controlling your August Smart Lock through Wink requires an August Connect Wi-Fi bridge to connect the Bluetooth lock to Wi-Fi.
