Meet Us at TechCrunch Disrupt!
Calling all developers: August will be participating in the TechCrunch Disrupt SF Hackathon this week just a few blocks from our San Francisco headquarters. Over the years, the Disrupt hackathon has discovered some of the best programmers in the world and launched products that have gone to be acquired by companies like Skype.
This year, the Hackathon will occur in a dedicated section of the Moscone Conference Center in tandem with Disrupt. From October 2 through the middle of Friday, October 4, each hack team will ideate, create and submit their products to the judges (a mix of sponsors and TechCrunch officials), who will select 10 top finalists. The finalists will then pitch their projects for the opportunity to win prizes, including a grand prize of $10,000.
Our very own VP, Product Lance Peterson will be on the judging committee alongside fellow product and engineering executives from Google, Stitch Fix, Snap Inc., Slack, Square, Credit Karma and more. Host sponsors include Kinship, Humana, InterSystems, United Airlines and Plaid. If you’re interested in snagging a last-minute spot, you can register on the hackathon website here.
Hope to see you there!
